Cupping
Cupping is an ancient healing method which has been used worldwide for thousands of years within a great variety of cultures. The inside of small glass cups are heated with a small flame and then placed onto the corresponding acupuncture points.
A lower air pressure is created which allows the cup to stick to the skin via suction. The vacuum within these glass cups quickly mobilizes the qi and the blood and opens the pores, allowing the pathogenic factors to be withdrawn. From the western perspective, the blood and lymphatic circulation is activated and pulled to the skin's surface through "suction". Cupping relieves muscle tension, stimulates the blood circulation of the inner organs, quickens the metabolism and activates the immune system.
Cupping also has a pleasantly relaxing and warming effect. Great relief can be achieved for relaxing tension in the shoulder and neck area. The skin will show bruising for a few days after treatment. Gliding cupping is an enjoyable inversed massage technique with a deep penetrating effect.
